INVITATION TO BIDS
1.
CARE-Ethiopia has secured/received a grant budget from a
Donor called OFDA, USAID towards the construction of Biko Water
Supply Project, which is located in Meyu Woreda of Eastern
Hararghe Zone, Oromia Region. It is intended that part of this
budget will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for
Construction of 3 Water Distribution Points, One 25 m3
Reservoir, 2.71 Kms of pipeline and Construction of 2 Cattle
Troughs.
2.
The CARE-Ethiopia now invites wax-sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the contract of construction of the project including
the supply of all required materials for the above components of the
project.
3.
Interested eligible bidders of category GC/BC Class 7
(Seven) and above are invited and may obtain further information
from and inspect the bid document at East Hararghe Zone Water
Resources Office, Harar or the CARE-East Hararghe Office, Grawa.

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by
interested bidders upon the presence of 1994 Ethiopian Calendar
renewed relevant license issued from the Ministry of Works and Urban
Development and registered for VAT (for those who are the members)
together with written application to the above and upon payments of
a non-refundable fee of 50.00 Ethiopian Birr only.
5.
Bids must be delivered to East Hararghe Water Resources
Office before Thursday May 29, 2003 and must be accompanied by a bid
bond of 1% of the bid amount in acceptable (Insurance, CPO, or bank
guarantee) form.
6.
Bids will be opened in the presence of
bidders/representatives who choose to attend at 3:00 P.M. on
Thursday May 29, 2003 at East Hararghe Zone Administration Office.
7.
The Organization, CARE-Ethiopia, reserves the right to reject
part and/or all bids. |
