To: All Contractors of Category GC/RC class 3 & above with license
valid for the current year.
1. The
Municipality of Jijiga Town invites eligible bidders who would be
financially or technically capable to furnish the necessary labor,
material and equipment for the construction and completion of
Asphalt Road and Drainage Structures.
2. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased as of August
18/2004 by any interested bidders on a submission of a written
application to Construction Design Share Company Addis Ababa upon
payment of Birr 295 (Two Hundred Ninety Five). Additional sets of
documents may be purchased each at the same price.
3. Bidders
may obtain further information and inspect and acquire the bidding
document at Construction Design Share Company, Road Design Studio
(Block No.3).
4.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security, 1% of the bid
amount to a maximum of Birr 100,000 from recognized financial
institutions payable on first demand addressed to Municipality of
Jijiga Town.
5. Bids
should be submitted in wax-sealed envelope on/or before September
20/2004, on or before 12:00 A.M. local time at Construction Design
Share Company, 3rd floor.
6. Bids
will be opened in the presence of those bidders/representatives who
choose to attend on same date, at
2:30 P.M.
local time at the office of Construction design Share Company.
7. The
construction of the works shall be completed within a maximum of 300
calendar days from the commencement of the work.
8. The
employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
· All
bids must include 15% Value Added Tax on the summary of Price.
w Bidders
are instructed to fill, sign and seal at each and all the forms of
the bid documents. Failure of this instruction is automatic
rejection.
w Bidders
are instructed to submit one "Original" and one "Photocopy" of the
Original bid document and to be sealed under separate envelopes.
w
The minimum amount of
liquid asset and or credit facilities net of other contractual
commitments of the successful bidder shall be Birr 2,000,000 (Two
Million).
w Bidders
must have experience in minimum of one project that have similarity
in nature both in value and complexity as prime contractor.
