invites eligible Consultants with experience in Market Studies to
submit sealed bids for a “Market Study for Soda Ash.”
The raw material source is from
natural carbonate rich lake waters of Lake Shalla & Lake Abijata.
The Consultant’s Scope of Services shall cover assessing and
analyzing market structure of domestic & export segments, current
local & foreign production, market growth trend for the coming 15
years, relevant markets & threats, distribution outlets, pricing
strategies, production & sales strategy and programmer. A complete
set of bidding document may be purchased upon payment of
non-refundable fee of Birr 100 beginning April 20, 2005 between 9:00
A.M.- 12:00 noon and afternoon between April 20, 2005 between 2:00
P.M. – 4:00 P.M. at the following address:

Bids shall be prepared in a
double-envelope system where the Technical Proposal and financial
Proposal are sealed separately and must be delivered before 4:00
P.M. June 6, 2005 at the above address. Bids must be accompanied by
a bid security in the sum of a minimum of 2% of the bid amount in
either Ethiopian Birr or in a freely convertible currency. Late bids
shall not be accepted.
The Technical Proposals of all
bidders will be opened on June 7, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. in the presence
of the authorized representatives of bidders who choose to attend
the bid opening; and the Financial Proposals will be opened two
weeks after the opening date of the Technical Proposals in the
presence of bidders’ authorized representatives.
