1.      Feasibility study for the implementation of coalmine and thermal power plant had been conduct by a Chinese company namely COMPLANT EEPCo has realized the need of reviewing the existing EIA study and preparing a separate comprehensive study report acceptable to the Ethiopian Environmental standard.

2.      The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) invites eligible Consultants for Reviewing of Environment Impact Assessment study, emission impact study & preparation of a complete set of document & study of Ash & Slug handling of Yayu Coalmine and Coal Fired Thermal Power Complex project.

3.      A completed set of the tender documents may be purchased by prospective bidders for Purchasing Division office upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 100 (One Hundred) or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency, commencing August 15, 2005.

4.      The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) now invites eligible International Consultants to participate in rendering the service. Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform (description of experience on similar assignment in the late ten year and on other related services, also description of suitability of key personnel Proposed for Assignment and Experience in similar conditions etc).

6.      All proposals must be delivered to the address indicated above at or before 16:00 hours (Addis Ababa time) on September 15, 2005.

7.      Proposals will be opened on September 16, 2005 at 10:00 hours (Addis Ababa time) in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

8.      Any proposal received by EEPCo after the deadline for submission of proposals prescribed above will be returned unopened to the bidder.

9.      Proposal will be opened at Electric Club located at Mexico Square, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

10.   EEPCo reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.
