1. The
Ministry of Education invites wax-sealed bids from eligible bidders
furnishing the necessary labor, materials, and equipment for the
construction completion of Temporary Dormitory, Toilet, Shower,
Cafeteria & Kitchen Building Project at Harar.
2. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased as of Hamle 30,
1997 by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of a
written application to The Construction Design Share Company (CDSCo)
and upon payment of Birr 575 each. Additional sets of documents may
be purchased each at the same prices.
3. Bidders
may obtain further information from, and inspect the bidding
documents at Construction Design Share Company (CDSCo.) Studio 1
Block 5, Addis Ababa, Tel. 40 33 62 or 42 08 00 (Ext. 286, 287)
4. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security, 1% of the bid amount, to
a maximum of Birr 100,000 or Birr 3,000 to 5,000 for bid amounts
40,001 up to 500,000 from recognized financial institution payable
on first demand Addressed to the employer and must be delivered to
Construction Design Share Company (CDSCo.) on or before 12:00 hrs.

5. Bids
will be opened in the presence of those bidders' or legal
representatives on 14:30 hours Pagume 3, 1997 at the office of
CDSCo. 3rd Floor Tender Hall Room No.128.
6. Bidders
are instructed to submit One "ORIGINAL" and One "PHOTOCOPY" of THE
ORIGINAL Bid document with all entries and TO BE SEALED UNDER
SEPARATE ENVELOPE.
7.
The employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bidders are instructed to fill, sign
and seal all the forms of the bid documents. Failure of this
instruction is automatic rejection.
All bids must include Value Added
Tax (VAT) on the summary price.
Bidders strongly are advised to
visit the site at heir own expense.
