1.
The Oromia Water Resources Bureau has secured a budget for
the cost of Design, Supply and Installation of Electro-Mechanical
Equipment for Ego-Lole Water Supply Project.
2. The
Oromia Water Resource Bureau now invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the Design, Supply and Installation of Surface
Centrifugal pumps at the intake and booster pumping station,
chlorination system, electro-mechanical system of the reservoirs,
standby diesel generating unit at the in-take and booster pumping
station complete with all accessories, tools and spares.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information
from and inspect the bidding document at the office: Bole Road, 4th
Floor, Room No. 404, Procurement Process Team, P.O. Box 8630, Tel.
251-1-50 96 22, Fax No. 251-1-51 77 56, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Complete set of bidding document can be purchased form the
above office upon presentation of 1997 E.C. Renewed Relevant
License, Registration Card issued from Ministry of Finance,
Registration card for VAT, Taxpayer Registration Certificate (Tax
Identification Number) together with WRITTEN APPLICATION & upon
payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 500 (Five Hundred Ethiopian
Birr only).
5. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of not less than 1% (One
percent) of the total bid price and in the form of:
- CPO or a
bank guarantee irrevocable letter of credit issued by a reputable
domestic bank or
- A chaser's
or certified cheque.
6.
Sealed bids must be delivered to the above office on or
before 6th October 2005 at 12:00 A.M. and bid will be
opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to
attend at the assembly hall of the Bureau, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on
the 6th of October 2005 at 2:00 P.M.
7.
Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days (One Hundred
Twenty days) after the bid opening date.
8. In
the comparison of evaluated bids, the Employer will grant a margin
of preference of 10% (Ten percent) to a qualified domestic
contractor.
9. Minimum
qualification criteria for bidders, or one of the partners if the
bid if submitted as a joint venture of two or more firms as
partners, shall be a proved successful implementation by the bidder
off similar undertakings in the last five years, including certified
continuous successful operation of the facilities.
10. The
Bureau reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
