1.       The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation invites registered contractors of Category BC (GC) 3 (Three) with license valid for the budget year registered for VAT to submit wax-sealed bids for providing the necessary labor, materials equipment and any other necessary requirements for the execution and completion of the Gilgel Gibe Hydroelectric Power Project G+2 Administration Building.

2.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the office of:

3.      Each prospective bidder proposing to bid for this project must be eligible fulfilling the requirement of the particular instruction of the project.

4.      A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidders on the submission of a written application to the above address and payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 920.00 (Nine Hundred Twenty).

5.      All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Birr 100.000. The bid security shall be payable on first demand to the employer, and must be an irrevocable letter of credit, or Bank Guarantee or Insurance Guarantee (payable on demand), or a Certified Payment Order (CPO) at the bidders option.

6.      Bid will be opened in the presence of bidder or bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at EEPCo Club, Mexico Square on January 26, 2006 at 2:00 P.M.

7.      The Construction of the work shall be completed within 240 calendar days form commencement of works.

8.      The Employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, to advertise for new bids, or to proceed and do the work otherwise as may be for its best interest.

It is required to follow strictly the recent instruction to bidders issued by the MOI in closed in the Tender Document.
