Description

1.      The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE), Office of the Road Fund Administration has allocated sufficient budget towards the cost of maintenance of Benishangul Gumuz and Afar Rural Road Authorities and intends to apply a portion of this budget to eligible payments under this contract for the Services of Advice and Technical Assistance for road maintenance works which are being carried out by the above mentioned Road Authorities.

Lot I:          Benishangul Gumuz Rural Roads Authority

Lot II:        Afar Rural Roads Authority

      The detail of the description of services is stated in a separate RFP Document.

2.      The office of Road Fund Administration (RFA), on behalf of Afar and Benishangul Gumuz Rural Roads Authorities, invites all local road consultants category III and above, that are VAT registered, to submit proposals for the services listed in the request for proposals (RFP).

3.       Interested consulting firms may obtain further information & Purchase the RFP document from the office of the Road Fund Administration, Mortgage Bank Building 10^th Floor, Room No. 1010, Tel: 53 34 88, Fax: 53 44 07 by submission of a written application to office of the Road Fund Administration; submission of registration certificate for VAT, renewed registration licenses, and by submission of renewed trade licenses against payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 150 (One Hundred & Fifty Birr only) for each LOT.

4.      Signed & Sealed Technical & Financial proposals should be prepared & submitted in accordance with the RFP to the General Manager’s Office, Mortgage Bank Building, 7^th floor, Office of the Road Fund Administration, P.O. Box 8642, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

5.      The latest time for submission of proposals is 23 December 2005, 2:30 P.M. Local time.  Any proposal after this time will not be considered.

6.      Bids will be opened on the same date 23 December 2005, at 2:35 P.M. Local time at our conference room, 7^th floor of Mortgage Bank Building.

7.      RFA reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
