The Federal Democratic
Republic of Ethiopia has received grant from the Global Fund to
fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (GFATM) for the implementation of
Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Program and part of the proceeds
of this grant will used to eligible payments under the contract for
which this invitation to bids is issued.
Ministry of Health, Pharmaceuticals Administration and Supply
Service (PASS) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the
supply of: Anti- TB Drugs & Medical Supplies
Bidding will be
conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures
specified in the Government Procurement Guidelines and are open to
all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the
Guidelines. WHO prequalified and DACA registered drugs under this
invitation will have the preference during evaluation.
The Bid Evaluation
will be conducted on item basis and bidders will have the chance to
participate for one or for all of the items for Lot I. The bid
evaluation will be conducted on lot by lot basis and bidders will
have the chance to participate for one or for all of the lots for
the rest of the lots.

A complete set of
bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders
on the submission of a written application to the address below and
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Eth. Birr 200 or in
equivalent USD 25. The method of payment will be cash or certified
check. For foreign bidders the document will be sent by mail and USD
35 for mail cost shall be included.
Bids must be delivered
to the address below on or before 14 April 2005 at 2:00 P.M. and
late bids will be rejected. All bids must be accompanied by a bid
security in the amount as specified in the tender document in the
form of CPO or Bank Guarantee from International Recognized Bank and
shall be Counter Guaranteed by Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.
Insurance Bond is not acceptable.
The purchaser reserves
the right to reject the bid in full or partially.
Bids will be opened in
the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the
address below on 14 April 2005 at 2:30 P.M.
