This invitation
for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project
that appeared in Development Business; issue no. 619 November
2003.
The Federal
Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a Credit from the
International Development Association towards the cost of The Food
Security Project (FSP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds
of this credit to eligible payment under contract for the
procurement of Cash Safe Boxes.
The Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development on behalf of Food Security Project
now invites sealed bids form eligible bidders for the supply of
Cash Safe Box.
Lot One:
Cash Safe Box, Qty. 1081 (One Thousand Eighty One)
Bidding will be
conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures
specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IRRD
Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible
source countries as defined in the Guidelines.
Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development, Procurement and Property
Administration Department and inspect the bidding document during
Working Hours form 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 and from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00
P.M. at the address given below.
A complete set
of bidding document in English may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of a written application to the address
below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 (Hundred
Birr) or USD 12.00 or equivalent in a freely convertible currency.
The method of payment will be in cash or Bank Payment Order. For
Overseas bidders the bid document will be sent by courier service
for which prepaid mailing invoice are sent with the above mentioned
amount.
Bids must be
delivered to the office whose address is specified below on or
before August 29, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. and must be accompanied
by a bid security not less than ETB 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand)
or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency. Bids will be
opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to
attend on August 29, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at the address
indicated below:
