The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Ethiopia
Office, in collaboration with the Regional Liaison Office fro Africa
of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioners fro Refugees
(UNHCR-RLO) seeks to engage consulting services for conducting
studies and preparation of Country reports on approximately 14
Africa countries emerging from conflict and in post-conflict
situations. The reports will be a key part of the information and
resource package that will be used in assessing the needs of these
countries, determining gaps in recovery and reconstruction
initiatives and, the formation of programme known as the "New
Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD)". The reports produced
by the consulting firm will be jointly reviewed by JICA and UNHCR.
hereby invites suitably qualified consultants and/or consulting
firms based in Ethiopia with broad international experience and
expertise in conducting high-level socio-economic and political
studies, conflict analysis, and issues related to post-conflict
recovery and reconstruction. The consultant/firm is expected to have
a team of exports in key areas of the project, must demonstrate
substantial past experience and submit copes of past work
demonstration competence and product of high quality. The study will
be conducted in English and reports are expected to be of the
highest standard in terms of content, from and language and, must
comply with the Terms of Reference which will be provided

Ababa (Tel. 50 47 55), from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon between 21 July
and 26 July 2005 (except Saturday and Sunday) by submitting a letter
indicating their interest to offer their tenders.
