its obligation under the Stockholm Convention, the Federal
Environmental Protection Authority has launched a project that would
facilitate early action on persistent organic pollutants. The
project has completed the POPs inventory and assessment phase and in
the next phases, it is expected to prioritize POPS issues, determine
national objectives and also formulate a National Implementation
Plan (NIP). The Project Office intends to recruit eligible
consultants to undertake this assignment.
