Description

 

Ethiopian has ratified the Stockholm Convention. The Objective of this Convention is to protect human health and the environment from Persistent Organic Pollutant (POPs). For the Government to properly discharge its obligation under the Stockholm Convention, the Federal Environmental Protection Authority has launched a project that would facilitate early action on persistent organic pollutants. The project has completed the POPs inventory and assessment phase and in the next phases, it is expected to prioritize POPS issues, determine national objectives and also formulate a National Implementation Plan (NIP). The Project Office intends to recruit eligible consultants to undertake this assignment.

1.      Prospective consultants should have practical experience in handling assignments related to POPs issues and a good knowledge in assessing the socio-economic impact and the cost and benefit of POPs management options.

2.      Interested licensed consultants are invited in the bid to undertake the above assignment.

3.      Bidders can obtain the bid amount against non-refundable payment of Birr 20 from the Office of the Administration and Finance Service of the Environmental Protection Authority.

4.      Bidders must submit their technical and financial proposal separately in wax-sealed envelope.

5.      The Project Office reserves the right to cancel the bid.

All proposals shall be submitted to the Administration and Finance Service of the Environmental protection Authority.
