National
Tobacco Enterprise (Eth) S.Co. seeks a competent and eligible firm
for tobacco leaf store fumigation & spraying.
Therefore,
interested bidders are invited to perform the work specified below.

Leaf Fumigation
Quantity:-
Approximately 600,000 kgs (in
bales of 30 kgs each)
Approximately 1,000,000 kgs (in
carton boxes of 200 kgs each)

Total
volume of the stores is 29,385 M3
III. Bidders
shall fulfill the following requirements:-
1. The
type and the rate of chemicals to be used should be clearly
specified.
2. Safety
measures to be taken should be stated.
3. Bidders
must specify qualified personnel, necessary labor, material &
equipment they intend to use to perform the work.
4. Bidders
must guarantee 100% efficacy level of the treatment.
5. The
price offer for each type of chemical should be per quintal for
fumigation and per unit of area for spraying.
6. Bidders
must produce original and copy of registration certificate and a
license renewed for the year 1997 E.C.
7.
Bidders must also produce evidences for their experience in
the required work and at least two certificates of good performance.
8. The
bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to 1% of the
bid amount in the form of bank guarantee or C.P.O.
9. The
technical (the rate and type of chemicals, safety measures, efficacy
level, personnel and materials & equipment to be used, eligibility
documents, certificates etc) and the financial proposal should be
submitted in two separate wax-sealed envelopes to the Enterprise's
archive not later than 2:30 P.M. on or before June 29, 3005.
10. The
offer envelopes should correspondingly be marked "Technical
Proposal" or "Financial Proposal".
11.
Bids shall be opened in the presence of bidders or their
representatives at 2:45 P.M. the same date of closure at the
Enterprise's conference room.
12.
Bidders are advised to visit the stores before submitting
their offers.
13.
The Enterprise reserves the right to accept or reject any or
all bids.
