1.      The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (herein referred to as the Corporation) as executing agent on behalf of the Federal Government of Ethiopia is implementing a project for the Computerized Maintenance Management System of Electric Power Generating Power Plants, Tender CMMS-97.

The Employer thus invites sealed bids from eligible bidders entirely responsible for the following contract components/packages on Turn Key basis as per details of the tender requirements.

The Project Consists of the following:

       Study, design, planning, organizing and installation, test & commission of a computerized maintenance management system for application by the computerized maintenance management system software at all Hydro power plants (Melka Wakana, Finchaa, Awash II, Awash III, Koda, Gilgel Gibie-I, Tis Abay-I, Tis Abay II HEPPs), Diesel plants (Dire Dawa, Kaliti, Awash 7 Kilo) Geothermal plant (Aluto Langano) and in power system operation department for application by the computerized maintenance management system software with all accessories.  The Corporation needs centralized computerized maintenance management system to be installed one database for each power plant and one database for the power system operation department offices, besides the information of all plants to be both by queries and reports.

       Study, design, planning, organizing and installation, test & commission local area networking system in Power System Operation Department.

The bidders are invited to submit tender entirely responsible for the combination/package of contract components.  Regarding Supply of goods and/or equipment, shipment shall be delivered to the point of final destination as instructed in the schedule of prices.  (If a bidder requires the whole tender document in floppy disk, it is possible to collect from Power Plants Rehabilitation Project Office).

2.      To qualify for the Tender, bidders should have sufficient experience in Supplying and commissioning the said equipment and to have with satisfactory performance in the last five (5) years, alone or as leading partner (sponsor), on the study and supply of computerized maintenance management system at least on six (6) power utilities and shall have minimum ten (10) years successful experience in software development.

3.      A complete set of bidding documents for all Contract Components may be purchased by any interested eligible bidder upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 500 (Birr Five Hundred) from:

4.      Tender documents will be available starting from March 7, 2005.

5.      All bids must be delivered to the office given in No. 3 above on or before April 6, 2005, 16:00 hrs. local time.

6.      Interested bidders may visit the sites if they wish, covering the required cost.

7.      All bids should be accompanied with bid security of USD 20,000 as requested by the Tender document.

8.      All bids will be opened on April 7, 2005 at 10:00 hrs local time at EEPCo Club, Mexico Square in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend the opening session.

9.      The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
