The Federal
Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a Grant from the
International Development Association towards the cost of The
Emergency Drought Recovery Project (EDRP) and it intends to apply
part of the proceeds of this grant to eligible payments under
contract for the procurement of 70 units of Motorcycles.
The Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development on behalf of Emergency Drought
Recovery Project now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for
the procurement of 70 units of Motorcycles.
Bidding will be
conducted through the national competitive bidding procedures
specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD
Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible
sources as defined in the Guidelines.
Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development, Procurement and Property
Administration Department and inspect the bidding documents during
working Hours from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 and from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00
P.M. at the address given below. A complete set of bidding document
in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission
of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 100 (Hundred Birr). The method of payment
will be in cash or Bank Payment Order. Bids must be delivered to
the office whose address specified below on or before December 6,
2005 at 10:00 A.M. and must be accompanied by a bid security not
less than 40,000 Birr or an equivalent amount in a freely
convertible currency. Bids will be opened in the presence of
bidders/representatives who choose to attend on December 6, 2005 at
10:30 A.M. at the address indicated below:
