The
Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation, (EEPCo)
(hereinafter referred to as the
Corporation) issues this notice of innovation to bid:
For design,
manufacture, test, supply CIF, transport & deliver to site
(including sea and inland transportation, port clearances and
insurance form warehouse to warehouse), civil work construction,
erection, test and commissioning of 230 KV Substations in Fincha’a
Ghedo-Gefersa Power Transmission Project.
The projects
consist of supply and construction of 230 kV substations, single and
construction of 230 kV with OPGW.
The Project
will be financed form EEPCo’s own sources.
Eligible
companies are invited for the following Contract:
Contract FGG-1
“Substation, Equipment and Civil works”
The contract
involves the design, manufacture, test, supply to site of erection
including sea and inland transportation, port clearances, insurance
form warehouse to warehouse, civil construction, erection, test and
commissioning of the fowling:
One (1) 230 kV
outgoing line bay substation equipment at the existing Fincha’a
switchyard.
One (1)
20/10/10 MVA, 3-winding power transformer and three (3) 230 kV
outgoing line bays, at new Fincha’a 230/33/15 kV substation.
Two (2) 230 kV
line bays with one and half bus bar system at the existing Ghedo
substation.
Tow (2) 230 kV
line bays with one and half bus bar system at the existing Ghedo
substation.
Only Bidders
who have designed, manufacture, supplied, erected and commissioned
substations at 230 kV voltage level or above will be considered
qualified.
The corporation
reserves the right to post qualify the Bidder offering the lowest
evaluated Bid.
The Bid
documents can be collected against a non-refundable payment of
Ethiopian Birr 1,500.00 (One Thousand Five Hundred Ethiopian Birr)

Bid documents
for contract will be available starting form November 17, 2005 at or
after 8:00 hours local time (8:00 A.M.)
Site visit is
scheduled for December 6, 2005 at 9:00 hours local time (9:00 A.M.)
at the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa.
Pre-Tender
meeting is scheduled for December 8, 2005 at 15:00 hours local time
(3:00 P.M.) at the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa
Offers must be
delivered to the address given by January 17, 2006 at or before
12:00 hours local time. Late bids will be rejected.
Offers will be
opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to
attend on January 17, 2005 at 15:00 hours local time (3:00 P.M.) at
the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa.
The Corporation
reserves the right to reject any or all of the offers.
