Description

1.      The Ethiopia Roads Authority invites sealed bids form registered suppliers under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) for the supply of different size of vehicle’s battery delivered at its ware house in Addis Ababa.

2.      Where Supplier’s wish to bid for this contract but not yet registered in the approved suppliers list may apply to the relevant authority for registration.

3.      The bidding documents may purchased by interested suppliers form the above office against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 100 or in another freely convertible currency of equivalent amount and upon presentation of Trade License renewed for 1997 E.C. and tax clearance certificate and VAT registration certificate.

4.      This invitation for bid is open to all interested bidders regardless of their nationality and the bid evaluation and award shall be determined in accordance with the provisions indicated in the bidding document is prepared in English Language.

5.      Bids must be delivered to the above office or deposited in the Tender Box situated 1^st floor Room No. 106 before the closing date and time on January 03, 2006 at 10:00 A.M.

6.      Bids must be accompanied with a Bid Security of not less than Birr 10,000 or in another freely convertible currency of equivalent amount. The bid security should be eight in a form of Cashier’s cheque or Certified cheque of Letter of Credit or Bank Guarantee or chase deposited against receipt. Bid securities in the form of Insurance bond or any form other than these shall not be acceptable.

7.      Bids will be opened at 10:00 A.M. on January 03, 2006 in the Ethiopian Road Authority Conference Room located at the 4^th floor, in the presence of bidders and/or their representatives who choose to attend.
