1. The
Government of Ethiopia has secured financing form the Kuwait fund
for Arab Economic Development in various currencies towards the cost
of the University Electricity Aces Program. The Ethiopian Electric
Power Corporation (EEPCo) (hereafter referred to as " the Employer")
now invites sealed bids from eligible countries of Kuwait Fund for
Arab Economic Development to participate for the design, supply,
construction, installation and commissioning of Distribution line
Networking.
2. The
Distribution line Network construction works are in Afar, Oromia and
Amhara region.
Lot 1- Afar Region
Lot 2- Afar,
Amhara and Oromia Region
3. The
Works under these contract shall include the supply of Distribution
liens (33kV and low voltage) with concrete pole posts, transformers
(33/0.4 kV) and Lighting network and all labor, materials,
including spare parts and design, manufacture, shop testing,
painting, transport to site, erection, site testing and
commissioning.
4. Tendering
will be by International Competitive Bidding (ICB) Procedures
conducted through the Kuwait fund for Arab Economic Development
rules of procedures for procumbent of goods and services. Only
bidders form countries which are not subject to boycott under the
regulations in force in the state of Kuwait are eligible to bid. All
goods and auxiliary services to be supplied must have origin form
countries which are not subject to boycott under the regulations in
force in the state of Kuwait.

The bid documents shall be available form EEPCo on 3rd
November 2005 and a complete set of bidding documents may be
purchasing by any interested eligible bidders on submission of
written applications to be addressed to the above and upon payment
of non-refundable fee of 200 USD (USD Tow Hundred) or 1700 Birr (One
Thousand Seven Hundred Birr only).
7. Only
bidders that purchasing the bid documents will be considered
eligible to submit bids.
8.
All bids must be accompanied by a bids security in the amount
of the equivalent of US$ 240,000 (Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollar
US) in a freely convertible currency in one of the following forms:
A bank guarantee or irrevocable
letter of credit issued directly by a reputable bank, in the form
provided in the bidding documents.
A cashier's or certified check.
9. Bids
must be delivered to the above office on or before 11:30 hours,
local time on 10th January 2006. |
