contractors of Category class GC/BC -6 and above with license valid
for this year
1. The
Quality & Standard Authority of Ethiopia invites wax-sealed
bids form eligible bidders for furnishing the necessary labour,
materials and equipment for the construction and completion of
Modification of Chemical Laboratory at Addis Ababa.
2. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested
bidders or the submission of a written application to the above and
upon payment of Birr 334. Additional sets of documents may
purchased each at the same price.
3. Bidders
may obtain further information form, and inspect the bidding
documents at Construction Design Share Company (C.D.S.Co.) Studio
2, Block No. 4 Addis Ababa, Tel. 442 33 74 Or 442 08 00.
4. All
bids must be accompanied by a bids security, 1% of the bid amount,
to a maximum of Birr 100,000 or Birr 3000 to 5000 for bid amount of
Birr 40,001 up to 500,000 from recognized financial institution
payable on first demand addressed to the employer and must be
delivered to CDSCo on or before Hidar 20, 1998 E.C. 12:00
hrs.
5.
Bids will be opened in the presence of those bidders or legal
representatives who choose to attend on 14:00 hrs. Hidar 20, 1998
E.C. at the office of CDSCo. Tender hall Room No. 128, 3rd
Floor.
6.
The construction of the works shall be completed within a
maximum of 60 calendar days form the commencement of the
work.
7.
Bidders are instructed to submit one "Original" and one
"Photocopy" of the original bid document with all entries and to be
sealed under separate envelopes.
8. The
employers reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bidders are instructed to fill, sign
and seal all the form of the bid documents. Failure of this
instruction is automatic rejection.
All bids must include VAT Added Tax
(VAT) on the summary of price.
Bidders are strongly advised to
visit the site at their own expense.
