The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation, (EEPCo) (hereinafter
referred to as the Corporation) issues this notice of invitation to
tender;
For design, manufacturing, test, supply (FOB) Transportation and
deliver to site civil work construction including sea and inland
transportation port clearances and insurance from warehouse to
warehouse of Takeze-Humeral 230 KV Power Transmission line Project.
The Project is financed form EEPCo’s own sources.
Eligible companied are invited for the following Contract package.
Contract TH-2 “Transmission Lines”.
This contract involves the design, manufacture, FBO supply,
transport and deliver to site, erection, testing and commissioning
of the following lines:-
387 km of a single circuit 230 KV line form existing Tekeze
Substation to the new Humera Substation with OPGW
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and
inspect the bidding documents at the address given below form 8:30
A.M. (local time) up to 5:00 P.M. (local time).
Only Bidders, who have designed, manufactured, supplied, erected and
commissioned transmission line at 230 KV voltage level or above will
be considered qualified.
The Corporation reserves the right to post qualify the Bidders
offering the lowest evaluated tender.
A
complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by
interested Bidders upon payment of non-refundable fee of Ethiopian
Birr 1500.00 (One Thousand Five Hundred Ethiopian Birr) for each
package to EEPCo starting form November 28, 2005 form:

Tender documents will be available starting form November 28,
2005 at or after 2:00 P.M. (local time).
Site visit is scheduled for December 19, 2005 at 9:00 hours
local time at the EEPCo's Regional office at Mekelle.
Pre-Tender meeting is scheduled for December 19, 2005 at
09:00 A.M. (local time) at EEPCo Club, Mexico Square and Addis
Ababa.
Offers must be delivered to the address given by January 23, 2006
at or before 2:00 P.M. (local time). Late bids will be rejected.
Offers will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who
choose to attend at the address below on December 12, 2005 at 2:03
P.M. (local time) at the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa.
The Corporation reserves the right
to reject any or all of the offers.
