FOR THIS YEAR
1. The
Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation invites wax-sealed bids
from eligible bidders for furnishing the necessary labor, materials
and equipment for construction / reparation and completion of
Office Building at Nekemt.
2. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested
eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to the
above and upon payment of Birr 1752. Additional sets of
documents may be purchased each at the same price.
3. Bidders
may obtain further information from, and inspect the bidding
documents at Construction Design Share Company (C.D.S.Co), Studio
2, Block No. 4 Addis Ababa, Tel. 442 33 74, 442 08 00.
4.
All bids must be
accompanied by a bid security, 1% of the bid amount, to a maximum of
Birr 100,000 or Birr 3000 to 5000 for bid amount of Birr 40,001 up
to 500.000 from recognized financial institutions payable on first
demand addressed to the employer and must be delivered to CDSCo
on or before Hidar 29, 1998 E.C. 12:00 hrs.
5. Bids
will be opened in the presence of those bidders or legal
representatives who choose to attend at 14:00 hrs Hidar 29, 1998
E.C. at the office of CDSCo. Tender hall R. No. 128, 3rd
Floor.
6. The
construction of the works shall be completed within a maximum of 550
calendar days from the commencement of the work.
7. Bidders
are instructed to submit one “original” and one “photocopy” of the
original Bid Document with all entries and to be sealed under
separate envelopes.
8. The
employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bidders are instructed to fill, sign
and seal all the forms of the bid documents. Failure of this
instruction is automatic rejection.
All bids must include Value Added
Tax (VAT) on the summary of price.
Bidders are strongly advised to
visit the site at their own expense.
