The Ethiopian
Electric Power Corporation, (EEPCo) (hereinafter referred to as the
Corporation) issues this notice of invitation to tender as part of
Universal Electricity Access Program:
For design,
manufacturing, port and customs clearances, insurance form warehouse
to warehouse, erection, test and commissioning of:
Extension of
existing 230 kV Bahir Dar Substation with Two 400/230 kV 250 MVA
Auto Transformers, Three 400 kV lime bays and 400 kV, 45 MVAR Shunt
reactors.
62 Km of a
double circuit 400 kV transmission line with one overhead optical
fiber ground wire (OPGW) and one EHS galvanized steel shield wire
form Beles substation to the existing Bahir Dar substation.
The Project
will be financed form EEPCo's own sources.
Eligible
companies are invited for CONTRACT LOT-1 "SUBSTATION AND
TRANSMISSION LINE"
Only Tenderers
who have designed, manufactured, supplied, erected, and commissioned
substations and transmission lines at or above 400 kV voltage level
or above will be considered qualified.
The Corporation
reserves the right to post qualify the Tender offering the lowest
evaluated tender.
The Tender
documents can be collected against a non-refundable payment of
Ethiopian Birr 500 (Five Hundred Ethiopian Birr)

Tender
documents will be available starting form October 14, 2005 at or
after 8:00 A.M. (local time).
Site visit is
scheduled for November 05, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. (local time) at the
EEPCo's Regional Office at Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.
Pre-Tender
meeting is scheduled for November 07, 2005 at 09:00 A.M. (local
time) at EEPCo Club, Mexico Square and Addis Ababa.
Offers must be
delivered to the address given by December 14, 2005 at or before
12:00 A.M. (local time). Late bids will be rejected.
Offers will be
opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to
attend at the address below on December 14, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. (local
time) at the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa.
The Corporation
reserves the right to reject any or all of the offers.
