1. The
Federal Government of Ethiopia has allocated budget towards the cost
of the Universal Electricity Access Program for increasing people's
access to electricity in rural towns and villages.
2. The
Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) now invites all
interested and eligible bidder for the following contracts:
Lot 1:
Design, manufacturing and supply to region store at Dire Dawa
39,400 quantity of
Impregnated wooden pole of the Construction of
Medium and Low
Voltage Distribution Network.
Lot 2:
Design, manufacturing and supply to region store at Shashemene
59,000 quantity of
impregnated wooden pole for the Construction
of Medium and Low
Voltage Distribution Network.
Lot 3:
Design, manufacturing and supply to region store a Gilgel gibe
39,400 quantity of
Impregnated wooden pole for the Construction
of Medium and Law
Voltage Distribution Network.
Lot 4:
Design, manufacture and supply to region store Debre Tabor
55,000 quantity of
Impregnated wooden pole for the Construction
of Medium and Low
Voltage Distribution Network.
Lot 5:
Design, manufacture and supply to region store at Kombolcha
39,400 quantity of
Impregnated wooden pole for the Construction
of Medium and Low
Voltage Distribution Network.
Lot 6:
Design, manufacture and supply to region store at region Mekele
23,600 quantity of
Impregnated wooden pole for the Construction
of Medium and Low
Voltage Distribution Network.
Lot 7:
Design, manufacture and supply to region store at region at Addis
Ababa 21,000
quantity of Impregnated wooden pole for the
Construction of
Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Network.
Lot 8:
Design, manufacture and supply to region store at region at
Nekemt 23,000
quantity of Impregnated wooden pole for the
Construction of
Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Network.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information form and inspect the
bidding documents at the office of:

4.
The bid document shall be available form October 17, 2005
onwards against payment of non-refundable fee of ETH Birr 500 for
each Lot.
5. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the bid price,
and must be delivered to the address above at or before 11:30
hours local time on November 28, 2005.
6. Bids
will be opened on November 28, 2005, 14:30 hours local
time in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who
choose to attend at EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia.
7. The
Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation reserves the right to reject
all or part of this bid.
