1. The
Ethiopian Civil Service College-[ECSC] has received a fund from the
UNDP toward the cost of the College’s ICT Service and intends
to apply part of the proceeds of this fund to payments under the
contract for the Supply, Delivery & Installations of Local Area &
Wide Area Network Systems.
2. The
Ethiopian Civil Service College- [ECSC] – now invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders for the Supply, Delivery & Installations of
the following Local Area & Wide Area Network System. Bidders
may bid for one or more lots. In each case, bidders must bid for
all the items and in the quantities specified for the lot. Partial
bids will be determined irresponsive. Bids will be evaluated and
contracts awarded on the basis of lots.

3. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding-
[NCB]-procedures of the Ethiopian Government Procurement Guidelines;
and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from the College’s
Procurement & Property Administration Division, Head office, CMC
Road and inspect the bidding documents at the address below from
9:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M-5:00 P.M. (local time)
Monday-Friday.
5.
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be
purchased by interested bidders as of October 14, 2005, (Monday-
Friday 9:00 A.M.-12 noon and 2:00-5:00 P.M.). On the submission
of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 150 (Birr One Hundred Fifty) or USD 17
(USD Seventeen) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible
currency. The method of payment will be cash or cashier’s check.
The Bidding document will be sent by
first class mail for overseas bidders who send a Crossed Band Draft
of Birr 310 (Birr THREE HUNDRED TEN) or USD 35 (USD THIRTY FIVE)
or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency in
addition to the price of the document to the address given below.
However, the college will not take any responsibility for a
late/non-delivery of the bidding documents sent by mail. No
extension in bid submission date will be permitted on this account.
6.
Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 2:00
P.M. (local time) on November 14, 2005. All bids must be
accompanied by a bid security of not less than 2% of the bid price
or in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders and/or their
representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 2:30
P.M. (local time) on November 14, 2005.
7. The
College reserves the right to reject any or all bids without giving
reasons thereof.
