Description

 

1.      CISP has secured a grant from the OFDA/USAID toward a project entitled "Emergency Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Education in Teltelle, Yabello and Dire Woredas of Borena Zone, Oromia (Ethiopia)." Part of the grant is intended to be used for the procurement of non 4WD, Double Cabin, Pick-up, Vehicle on duty-free basis.

2.      Biding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding Procedures and is open on equal terms to all natural and legal persons, but subject to the donor's standard provision entitled "USAID Eligibility Rules for Goods and Services. "Bidders must state, in the bid, the country of which they are nationals by presenting the usual proof of nationality under their national legislation. Moreover, bidders must clearly state the country of origin of the vehicle.

3.      Interested and eligible bidders may obtain further information form the office of CIP-Ethiopia and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below any time during normal working hours.

4.     A complete set of bidding documents prepared in English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 50 (Fifty only) or in an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency starting form the date of this advertisement.

5.      Bids must be sealed and delivered to the address below at or before 05:00 P.M. on October 27, 2005. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security amounting to 2% of the bid price and should be deposited in cash or in CPO or in bank or in insurance guarantees and payable to "CISP". Late bids will be rejected. Bids will opened in the presence of bidders and/or their representatives who choose to attend on October 28, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the office of CISP-Ethiopia.

6.      CISP reserves the right to accept or reject all or part of the bid at any time prior to award of the contract without giving any reason thereof.
