RE-TENDER
1.
The Addis Ababa University invites sealed bids form eligible
suppliers for the supply of the following Teaching and Learning
Equipment.
1.1.
LOT I: Laboratory Equipment: Bid Bond amount required is Birr
100,000 (Birr One Hundred Thousand)
2.
All bidders shall submit currently renewed Trade License
Certificate form Ministry of Inland Revenue, VAT registration
Certificate and Evidence of Registration form Ministry of Finance
and Economic Development.
3.
Bidders have the option to bid for any one or more of the sub
lots. Bids will be evaluated and contracts awarded for lot or sub
lots.
4.
A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any
interested supplier form Graduate Expansion Program Procurement
Office, of the Addis Ababa University Room No. 21 upon payment of a
non-refundable amount of Birr 150 (Birr One Hundred Fifty) or an
equivalent amount in foreign convertible currency form 8:30 A.M. to
4:30 P.M. local time beginning form the date of the first
announcement of this tender.
5.
Shorter Delivery time shall have greater preference in
supplier selection.
6.
Sealed bids must be submitted with the marking
Re-Tendering No. GEP/L&C/007/97-2005 and stated the lot or sub
lots for which the bids are submitted.
7. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond amount indicated under item 1
above for each lot in C.O.P., cheque or cash or an equivalent
convertible currency amount in the form of bank guarantee
established through any Commercial Bank in Ethiopia in the name of
the Addis Ababa University (Bank guarantee issued by a Bank abroad
acceptable to the Purchaser and counter guaranteed by any Commercial
Bank in Ethiopia, in the form of provided in the bidding documents
or any other form acceptable to the Purchaser).
8. Bid
reply shall be put into the tender box prepared for this purpose at
the Addis Ababa University Purchasing Davison Room No.32 on or
before December 28, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. local time. Foreign suppliers
who do not have agents may mail to the Addis Ababa University
Graduate Extension Program Procurement Office, P.O. Box 1176, Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia.
9.
Bids received by the side deadline will be publicly opened in
the presence of bidders or heir legal representatives on December
28, 2005 at 2:30 P.M. in Room No. 32.
10. Addis
Ababa University reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
