The Ethiopian
Electric Power Corporation, (EEPCo) (hereinafter referred to as the
Corporation) issues this Notice of invitations to tender. For
design, manufacture, test, supply (FOB) Transport and delivery to
site, civil work construction including sea and inland
transportation port clearances and insurance for warehouse to
warehouse of Gonder Hummera 230 kV Power Transmission line Project.
The Project is
financed from EEPCo’s own sources.
Eligible
companies are invited for the following Contract package
Contract GH-2
“Transmission Lines”
This contract
involves the design, manufacture, FOB supply, transport and deliver
to site, erection, testing and commissioning of the following lines:
226 km of a single circuit twin conductor 230 kV line on double
circuit towers with overhead optical fiber ground wire (OPGW), from
Gonder to Hummera
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and
inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 8:30
A.M. (local time) up to 5:00 P.M. (local time).
Only bidders who have designed, manufactured, supplied, erected and
commissioned transmission line at 230 kV voltage level or above will
be considered qualified.
The Corporation reserves the rights to post qualify the Bidders
offering the lowest evaluated tender.
A complete set of
bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 1,500 (One
Thousand Five Hundred Ethiopian Birr) for each package to EEPCo
starting from October 12, 2005 from:

Tender document will be available
starting October 12, 2005 at or after 2:00 P.M. (local time).
Site visit is scheduled for
November 8, 2005 at 9:00 hours local time at the EEPCo Club,
Mexico Square, Addis Ababa.
Pre-Tender meeting is scheduled for
November 16, 2005 at 9:00 hours local time at the
EEPCo Club, Mexico Square Addis Ababa.
Offers must be delivered to the
address above by December 12, 2005 at or before 2:00 P.M.
(local time). Late bids will be rejected.
Offers will be opened in the
presence of bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the
address below on December 12, 2005 at 2:30 P.M. (local time)
at the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa.
The Corporation reserves the right
to reject any or all of the offers.
