1. The
Ministry of Finance and Economic Development of the Federal
Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a loan form the African
Development Fund towards the cost of Koga Irrigation and Watershed
Management Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover
eligible payment under the contract for Contraction of Koga Small
Scale Irrigation, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation.
2. The
Ministry of Water Resources, of the Federal Democratic Republic of
Ethiopia, invites sealed bids form eligible bidders for the
construction of Koga Small Scale Irrigation, Rural Water Supply and
Sanitation, which comprises; 3 Nr small scale Irrigation schemes,
Rural Water Supply and Sanitation all located in the Koga sub
catchment. The work includes the construction of:
3 Nr small diversion weirs with
steel regulation slide gates,
A total of 7.8 km canal of capacity
in the order of 20 1/set to 170 1/set.
Drainage channels of total length
16.6 km
A total of 6.1 km secondary canals
of capacity 20 1/sec,
Small hydraulic strictures (check
drops, division box, cross drainage culverts, drain drops and
outlets) total 464 in Nr.
50 Nr water point of dug wells
19 Nr ventilated improved pit
latrine.

A complete set of documents may be purchased from the above
office and upon the payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 500 or
its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency, for each set.
5.
Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after bid
opening and must be accompanied by security of Birr 100,000 (One
Hundred Thousand Birr only) or its equivalent in freely convertible
currency, and shall be delivered to the above office on or before
12:00 mid day on 27 October 2005.
6.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the
bidders/representatives who whish to attend to the Ministry's Hall
at 2:00 P.M. 27 October 2005.
7. The
Ministry of Water Resources reserves the right to accept or reject
any bid, and annual the bidding process.
