Description

1.      The Somali Rural Roads Authority invites through "Local competitive Bidding" for contractors of categories RC-Class 4 [GC-class 5] regularly registered with the Bureau of Works and Urban Development and have taken labour base road maintenance works training to give their offer for the following maintenance road activities "QABRIBAYAH-HARTA SHEKH" 1. Q/bayah-Hartishek 2. Warder-Galadi 3. Birkahar Shilabo 4. Birkahar Shagoosh 5. Aysha Lasraf 6. Fiiq-Jerinka project

2.      The project consist of "Maintenance of the Road"

3.      Bid document may be obtained form Rural Roads Authority, Engineering or Procurement Branch until by payment of a non-refundable sum of 250 Birr. The closing date of purchasing is seven days from the publishing of the newspaper.

5.      Wax-sealed envelope containing offer for furnishing all labour, equipment and material and for performing all works as illustrated and described in the bid documents shall be deposited in the RRA Procurement Branch not later than 10:00 A.M. for the 15^th day from publishing on the newspaper.

The Envelope shall be submitted as follows:

5.1.  A separate envelope sealed and marked "BID BOND" carrying the contractors bond in the sum of 1% of the offer amount and the letter of Introduction.

5.2.  A second Envelope sealed and marked "ORIGINAL BID DOCUMENT" carrying the original of the bid document.

5.3.  A third Envelope sealed and marked "COPY OF BID DOCUMENT' carrying the copy of the bid document.

5.4.   All envelopes shall bear the reference name of the maintenance projects mentioned above.

5.5.   The outer and inner envelopes shall bear the full address of the contractor. The outer envelope shall also bear the following:

DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 10:00 A.M. on the opening date.

6.      The bid shall be opened on the 3:00 P.M. of the closing date.

7.      Contractors are required to submit bid bond in 1% of the bid price.

8.      The successful contractors will be required to furnish a performance security in the sum of 10% of the total sum of contract.

9.      Contractors are advised to read the instruction and information to bidders before filling in their bids.

10.  The Somali Rural Roads Authority reserves the right to reject any or all offers without giving reasons for doing so:
