The Ministry of Capacity Building invites sealed bids from eligible
Contractors of Category GC/BC-7 and above who can deliver the
necessary labor, materials and equipment for the construction and
preparing of the Work Shop Project at Nazareth and the compilation
time of the project under the Engineering Capacity Program.
1. A
complete set of bid document in English may be obtained upon payment
in cash a non-refundable fee of Birr 300 (Three Hundred Birr) from
the Procurement Division of the Ministry during working days and
hours at of Miazia 9, 1998 E.C.
2. Bidders
shall furnish as part of their bid, a bid security (Bid Bond) not
less than 1% of the bid amount to a maximum of Birr 100,000 (One
Hundred Thousand) in the from of cash or CPO issued by a recognized
bank established in Ethiopia.
3. Bidders
are required to submit renewed legal license for the current year,
recommendation from Inland Revenue Authority or nay other Authorized
Bureau and Vat registration corticated from Authorized Organ.
4. Bidders
are instructed to prepare and submit their original and copy
proposals separately, the envelopes duly marked as “original” and
“copy”. In the event of any discrepancies between the original and
copy of the proposals, the original governs.
5. Bidders
should deliver their proposals in two separate wax-sealed envelopes
on or before 10:00 A.M. on Ginbot 24, 1998 E.C. to the Goods and
Services Procurement Tender Committee of the Ministry of Capacity
Building main office near the Ethiopian Conference Center-Gulele Sub
City, Addis Ababa.
6. Bidders
may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding document
at Construction Design Share Company (CDSCo) studio 2, Tel. No. 011
442 33 74 and/or Engineering Capacity Building Program, Tel. No. 011
663 66 59, Addis Ababa during working days and hours.
7. Bidders
are instructed to fill, sign and seal all the forms of their bid
documents and all bids must include Value Added Tax (VAT) on the
summary prices of their financial proposals.
8. Partial
rebate like fixed sum and rebate on some items is not acceptable.
The Ministry will not take any responsibility for a late and/or non
delivery of the bidding documents sent by mail.
9. The
bid will be closed at 10:00 A.M. on Ginbot 24, 1998 E.C. and will be
opened on the same date at 10:30 A.M. at he Ministry’s Conference
Hall in the presence of bidders and/or their legal represeatnvies
who prefer to attend.
The Ministry of Capacity Building reserves the right to reject any
or all bids.
