The Ministry of Defense wants to sell, through closed bid, scraps
deposited at the various places of the country. Accordingly, any
bidders who want to participate on the bid shall:
1.
Submit 20% of the
price of the total scraps they want to buy by bid C.P.O. certified
by a bank as bid bond.
2. The
bonds shall immediately be released for those bidders that lost the
bid, and for the winner the amount of the bond shall be included on
the price of sale of the property.
3. The
winner of the bid shall submit performance bond of 10% the total
contract price by which he win the bid by C.P.O. cheque certified by
bank.
4. Where
a foreign and a domestic bidders offer equal price for the scraps in
the bid, the domestic bides shall be given priority or be a winner
of the bid.
5. Where
a winner of the bid fails to sign the contract within the specified
time, the performance bond shall be taken by the government and he
shall be cancelled from being a winner.
6. A
bidder shall not offer price on the basis of price offered by
another bidder.
7.
Bidders shall be to
take over the scraps offered for bid completely, and partial bid is
forbidden.
8. The
bid shall be closed on May 29, 2006 at 12:00 A.M.
9. The
bid shall be opened in the presence of bidders or their authorized
agents on the closing day of May 29, 2006 at 2:00 P.M.
10. Any
bidders, by paying non-refundable Birr 500 (Five Hundred Birr), can
buy the bid document from the Ministry of Defense No. 2, 4th
Division Compound, B17, Room No. 132 as of the date on which this
notice is published, and can go to the place where the scraps are
found and see them.
11.
The winner of the bid
shall bear costs of transportation, loading, unloading cutting the
scraps at the place they are found, weighing and other expenses.
12.
The right to the
Ministry to cancel fully or partially the bid, where it gets better
method, shall be respected.
