Description

1.      The Road Fund Administration has funds within the Employer’s budget to be used for the procurement of Bonga Section Routine Term Maintenance Road Project.

2.      Ethiopian Roads Authority invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of Bonga Section Routine Term Maintenance Road Project.

The projects include a Backlog work & Recurring maintenance of both Asphalt & Gravel Roads of about 233 km.

The contracts duration of he works are two years with the possibility of extension of one year based on the performance of the contractor.

3.      Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open National tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all eligible bidders.

4.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Ethiopian Roads Authority and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7 (a) from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and 1:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. from Monday to Thursday and from 8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. on Friday’s local time starting from April 27, 2006. The Ethiopian Roads Authority will held a pre-bid meeting on May 29, 2006 at 2:30 P.M.

5.      A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders at the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 150 ETB. The method of payment will be made in cash for Engineering Service Procurement Design and Technical Support Division or bank certified cheque to ERA’s account. National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) A/C # 0160101011500 or directly payment to ERA cahier. The document shall be collected from the address below at 7 (a). The document can be purchased starting from May 8, 2006.

6.      Bids must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) or before June 19, 2006 at 2:30 P.M. The bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 50,000 ETB. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 7 (d) on June 19, 2006 at 2:30 P.M.
