1. This
Invitation for bid follows the general Procurement Notice for this
Project that appeared in Development Business, issue No. 659 of 31
July 2005.
2. The
Ethiopian Government has received a credit from the National
Development Association towards the cost of Information and
Communication Technology Assisted Development (ICTAD) Project, and
it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments
under the Contract for Office Equipment, Computer and Related
Hard-wares.
3. The
Ethiopian ICT Development Agency, ICT Assisted Development Project
now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for
Office Equipment, Computers and Related Hardwares.
4. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from
eligible Source countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further formation form Ethiopian
Information and Communication Technology Development Agency;
Information and Communication Technology Development Project (ICTAD)
Project office located at Demble City Center Building, 11th
Floor, Addis Ababa and inspect the bidding documents at the address
given below from 8:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. and 1:30 P.M.5:00 P.M. Monday
to Friday.
6. Qualification
set of biding documents in English language may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the
Address below and upon payment of a non-refutable fee of Birr 100
(One Hundred Birr only). The method of payment will be in cash or
certified cheque.

8.
Bids must be delivered
to the address below at or before 2:00 P.M. May 29, 2006. Electronic
bidding will not permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
9.
Bid will be opened in
the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend in
person or on-line at the address below. All bids must be accompanied
by a “Bid Security” of 2% (Two percent) in cash or certified cheque.
10. EICTDA-ICTAD
reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
