The Ethiopian Electric Power
Corporation (EEPCo)
(hereinafter referred to as the Corporation) issues this notice of
invitation to bid:
For design, manufacture, test, supply to site of erection including
sea and inland transportation, port clearances and insurance from
warehouse to warehouse, civil work construction, erection, test and
commissioning of the following:
Extension at the existing Wukro substation, with one (1)
132/33 kV, 12/16 MVA, 2-winding power transformer and 33 kV GIS
switchgear;
One (1) new complete 132/33/15 kV substation at Kemisse with
two (2) 25/12.5/12.5 MVA, 3-winding power transformer, two (2) 132
kV outgoing line bays, single bus bar system, 33 kV GIS switchgear
and air insulated 15 kV switchgear.
The project is financed jointly by EEPCo and Kuwait Fund.
Eligible companied are invited for Kemisse and Wukro 132 kV Power
Transmission Project, Contract KW-1 “132 kV Substation Equipment and
Civil works”
Only Bidders who have designed, manufactured, supplied, erected, and
commissioned substations at 132 kV voltage level or above will be
considered qualified.
The Corporation reserves the right to post qualify the bidders
offering the lowest evaluated bid.
The bid documents can be collected against a non-refundable payment
of Ethiopian Birr 500 (Five Hundred Ethiopian Birr).

Bid documents will be available stating form April 09, 2006
at or after 8:00 hours local time (8:00 A.M.)
Site visit is scheduled for April 28, 2006 at 9:00 hours
local time (9:00 A.M.) at the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis
Ababa.
Pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 02, 2006 at 9:00 hours
local time (9:00 A.M.) at the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis
Ababa.
Offers must be delivered to the address given by June 06, 2006
at or before 12:00 hours local time. Late bids will be rejected.
Offers will be opened in the presence of bidders/represeatnvies who
choose to attend on June 06, 2006 at 15:00 hours local time
(3:00 P.M.) at the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa.
The Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all of the
offers.
