Contractors of Category BC/GC Class 7 or above, with license valid
for the year 1998 E.C.
1. Addis
Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) invites sealed bids from
eligible bidders for the “Maintenance of Janmeda, Geja, Teferi
Mekonnen and R2 Valve Room & Reservoir”.
2. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased against payment
of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 upon presentation of
registration certificate from the federal ministry of infrastructure
renewed trade license for the year & VAT registration certificate.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office of
A.A.W.S.A.’s Materials Management Department, Room No. 227, P.O. Box
1505, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 011 662 49 72/011 662 00 10, Fax
(251-011) 662 39 24.
4. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of 1% in the form of a bank
or insurance guarantee, Cashier’s Payment Order (CPO) or Cash, Bid
bond in any other form shall not be acceptable.
5. Bids
shall be submitted in one original and one copy envelope with
financial offer.
6. All
eligible certificates cited under 2 should be found in the original
technical envelope, and be submitted in the tender box on the
closing date.
7. Bid
Bond should be in separate envelope and be submitted in the tender
box together with the original technical envelope.
8. All
bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose
at or before 5:00 P.M. local time on May 10, 2006
9. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official
representatives who wish to attend, on May 11, 2006 at 10:00 A.M.
local.
10. The
Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
Failure to
comply any of the conditions from (4) to (8) above will result in
automatic rejection.
