THE INTERNATIONAL LIVESTOCK
RESEARCH INSTITUTE (ILRI)

Invites interested buyers to submit price offers for the following categories of used and surplus items for sale (in bulk or in pieces) on “as is where is” basis:

Category I:  Office/Household Furniture & Equipment, Computes & Laboratory Equipment

Category II: Building Materials & Vehicles Spare Parts

Category III: Cannon, Rank Xerox, Stationery & Computer Supplies

Category IV: Duty-Free Vehicles (used).

1.       The items can be inspected at ILRI’s main campus located in Lamberet area Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. and from 2:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. For further information please contact ILRI Procurement of Stores, Telephone 0116 46 32 15 Ext. 205.

2.      Bid document relating to the above items or sale can be obtained from the Display Room during working hours indicted above against cash payment of Birr 10.00 for Cat. I and Birr 30.00 for each Cat. II, III & IV.

3.      Bid-offer must be submitted within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of the second advertisement in wax-sealed envelopes marked “BID OFFER” and place into the bid box.

4.      All bids must be accompanied by a BID BOND of Birr 300.00 per bid documents for Cat I, a Bid Bond of Birr 500.00 per bid documents for Cat. II & III in cash and Bid Bond of Birr 1000.00 per Vehicle for Cat. IV in the form of certified cheque payable to ILRI.

5.      The successful bidders will be required to pay the full bid-amount within (15) days after notification by ILRI and remove the goods from ILRI compound within three (3) days after payment. In case of vehicles, successful bidders will be required to complete the necessary formalities for the transfer of ownership within an additional twenty (20) days after payment. Default on any of these requirements will result in automatic forfeiture of the bid bond and entitle ILRI to seek other resources.

6.      ILRI reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
