1. The
Government of the Federal Government of Ethiopia has applied for a
credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward
the cost of Ethiopia-Sudan Power System Interconnection Project. The
Borrower interned to apply a portion of the funds to eligible
payments under the contract for the following project components.
2. The
Services under this project include
a)
Supervision and commissioning of 230kV, 297 km transmission
line construction. Out of this, 138km will be single circuit, 37km
double circuit and 122 km stringing of conductor on existing towers.
b)
Supervision and commissioning of extension works in Bahir
Dar, Gondar (Azezo) and Shehedi, 230kV substations.
3. The
Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation now invites eligible
consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services for
the above projects. Interested consultants must provide information
indicating that they are qualified to perform the services
(brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in
similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff,
etc). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualification.
4. A
consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set
out in the World Bank’s guidelines: Selection and Employment for the
Consultants by the World Bank Borrowers, May 2004.
5. Interested
consultants may obtain further information at the address below
