Description

1.      The Oromia Education Bureau has received a budget from Oromia Regional State towards the costs of expansion of Asela Teachers’ College and Sebeta Special School in Arsi and South West Shewa Administration zones respectively.

2.      The Oromia National Regional State Education Bureau now invites all contractors of category GC/BC 5 and above for the expansion of Asela Teacher’s College and GC/BC 7 and above for the expansion of Sebeta special school with renewed license valid for the year 2006 for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment and service for the expansion works.

3.      Bidding documents may be purchased at the office of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Oromia National Regional State Education Bureau, Near Nefas Silk Shell Depot, P.O. Box 8728, Tel. (251) 01 40 13 80, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, upon submission of written application and a non-refundable fee of Birr 500 (Five Hundred) for the expansion of Asela Teachers’ College and Birr 250 (Two Hundred Fifty) for the expansion of Sebeta Special School starting from December 8, 2006 up to December 20, 2006.

4.       A bidder has to be registered to collect “VAT” and copy of VAT certificate, trade license and registration certificate must be submitted attached with the application.

5.       Bidders may obtain further information, inspect and acquire the bidding documents, from the above-mentioned office.

6.      All bids must be accompanied by a bid security, valid for 120 days after the date of bid opening, in an acceptable form of CPO or Bank guarantee of 2% of the bid amount and must be submitted on or before 2:00 P.M. of 8^th of January 2007.

7.      The validity of the bid shall be 90 days from the date of bid opening.

8.      Bids will be opened and read in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives on the same day of submission of the bid at 2:30 P.M. in OEB Hall.

9.      The expansion of Asela Teacher’ s College shall be completed within a maximum of 240 calendar days and the expansion of Sebeta special school shall be completed within a maximum of 90 calendar day from the commencement date of the work.

10.  The Oromia Education Bureau reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
