The Government of Ethiopia has received a grant from the Government of Germany through KfW Entwicklungsbank in Germany towards the costs for the investment component of the Ethio-German programme for the reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

The Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Education now invites sealed bids from the eligible bidders for the supply of various Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institutions for Below Lots based on DDU delivery to different place in Ethiopia:

Lot 1:  Vehicles (double Cabin, e.g. Hilux)

Lot 2:  Office, Computer and Communication equipment

Bidders have the option to bid for any one or more lots, Bids not offering all the items in a lot will be treated as incomplete and might be neglected during evaluation of bids. Bids will be compared and evaluated lot wise. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12:00 hours on 8th of March 2006. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to attend at below address at 12:00 hours on 8th of Marc h 2006.

Tendering and contract provisions will be governed by the KfW’s “Guidelines for the Procurement of Supply and Work Contracts under the Financial Cooperation with Developing Countries”, details are available under www.kfw-entwicklungsbank.de. The respective General Conditions of Contract for this international competitive bidding for Ethiopia are available for download from www.wem-hamburg.de.

WEM in cooperation with PLANCO, Hamburg, have been commissioned by The Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Education, Addis Abba, and by KfW to provide consulting service to the Ministry including coordinating the task of tendering for the equipment and supplies of training materials for TVET insinuations all over Ethiopia.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from below address. A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders from the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of EUR 20,--. An additional fee of EUR 40,-- will be charged if the documents is to be sent to the bidders by courier (via international courier). The method of payment will be by advance payment and/or proof of deposit in the Bank Account. The bank account details are the follows:
