Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) has allocated a budget
for the 1998 FEY and hereby invites all local competitive Bidders who
have a Trade license, VAT registration, BoWaUD’s certificate & MoFaED
registration valid for 1998 Ethiopian Calendar to conduct & submit a
sealed bid for the supply of Household Furniture for Melka Wakana,
Finchaa, Tis Abay, Awash II & III and Koka Hydro Electric Power plants
workers recreation clubs, Tender RHPP2-98. The Tender document
contains four parts (LOT -1, LOT -2, LOT -3 and LOT -4).
Lot -1: High quality Household
furniture (Sofas, Beds & Bed sides drawers, Dining tables &
chairs, Padded Arm Chairs, shelves, Spring Foam matters, etc) as per
the tender equipment.
Lot -2: High quality Blankets,
Pillows, Bed Sheets, Beddings, etc (from Bahir Dar, Awassa, Akaki,
Dire Dawa, Arbaminch, Combolcha, DH. Geda, Almeda, etc Textile
Factories) as per the tender requirement.
Lot -3: High Quality Electrical
Household Items (Refrigerator, Iron, DVD Player, Electrical
Stoves, Coffee Machines, Chest Freezers, Electric Fans, Draft
Machines, Vacuum cleaners, Colour TVs, Washing Machines etc) as per

Lot -4: Cultural furniture (Berchumas

In this stage technical & financial merit point method shall be
applied to determine the prospective bidder as per the tender
requirements. The merit points are taken out of 100% (70% for
technical offer and 30% for financial offer). In the technical
evaluation (70%), quantity and quality of the equipment to be
supplied as per the tender requirement and proposed detail schedule
activities for supply are weighted, while the 30% financial merit will
be given to the lowest tender price
