Description

 

1.      The Ministry of Health has received a credit/grant from the Global Fund toward the cost to fight AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to be used for the procurement of Computers with accessories, Printers and UPS for Malaria Control Program.

2.      The Ministry of Health-Pharmaceutical Administration and Supply Service (PASS) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery of Lot:1

3.      Bidders who have not quoted for 100% of the qualities for each item will be considered as incomplete and rejected as non-responsive.

4.      Bidding will be conduct in accordance with the open international tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Government of the Federal Democratic Re-public of Ethiopia and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries. Local Agents shall provide renewed trade license, letter from Inland Revenue Administration, Registration Certificate from MoFED and shall mention VAT number, (if applicable).

5.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Pharmaceutical Administration and Supply Service of Ministry of Health and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below form 8:30-12:30 A.M. and 1:30-5:30 P.M. local time (Monday to Friday).

6.      A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders as of February 9, 2006 (Monday-Friday at working hours), upon payment of a non-refundable fee of (USD 15) Fifteen Dollars or (Birr 150) One Hundred Fifty Birr. The method of payment will be in cash or certified check. The bidding document will be sent by the first class mail for overseas bidders who deposit in MOH’s account No. 0160101011900, swift No. NBETETAA and submit the receipt or bank deposit slip of USD 35 (USD Thirty Five) or Birr 300 (Three Hundred Birr) or an amount in a freely convertible currency in additional to the price of the document to the address given below. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

7.      Bids must be delivered to the Office of Tender Committee of MOH Room No. 1.3. at or before 2:00 P.M. (local time), March 28, 2006. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of USD 5,800 (Five Thousand Eight Hundred) or Birr 50,000 (Fifty Thousand Birr for item No. 1 and 2 each and USD 1,160 (One Thousand One Hundred Sixty Birr) for item No. 3 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency in the Lot. Insurance Bond is not acceptable.

8.      Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 2:30 P.M. local time on March 28, 2006.
