Re-Invitation
1. This
Invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this
Project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. 659 or 31
July 2005.
2. The
Ethiopian Government has received a credit from the National
Development Association toward the cost of Information and
Communication Technology Assisted Development (ICTAD) Project, and
it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments
under the Contract for Office Equipment, Computers and Related Hard
wares.
3. The
Ethiopian ICT Development Agency, ICT Assisted Development Project
now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for
Office Equipment, Computers, Printers and Related Hard Wares.
4. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from
Eligible source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian
Information and Communication Technology Development Agency;
Information and Communication Technology Assisted Development
Project (ICTAD) Project Office located at Dembel City Center
Building, 11th Floor, Addis Ababa, and inspect the
Bidding documents at the address given below from 8:30 A.M.-12:30
P.M. and 1:30 P.M.-5:30 P.M. Monday to Friday.
6. Qualification
requirements include: should present currently renewed Trade
License, Receipt of Inland Revenue for the year 1997/98 E.C. and VAT
registration certificate with their offer.
7. A
complete set of bidding documents in English language may be
purchased by interested bidders on the submission of written
Application to the address below and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 50 (Fifty Birr only). The method of
payment will be in cash or certified cheque.
8. Bids
must delivered to the address below at or before 2:00 P.M. August 1,
2006. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be
rejected.
9. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who
choose to attend in person or on-line at the address below on August
1st 2006 at 2:30 P.M. all bids must be accompanied by a
“Bid Security” of 2% (Two percent) in cash or certified cheque.
10. EICTDA-ICTAD
Project reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
