SECOND NOTICE
The Arsi Bale Rural Development Project (ABRDP) established under
the Ethio-Italian Development Cooperation Agreement invites all
eligible class III and above Ethiopian Engineering Consulting firms
with profound knowledge and experience on Road and Bridge Design to
submit their qualification information and bid offer for designing 8
bridges in different sites found in Arsi and Bale zones. That is:
Lot I: Three sties located in Bale Zone
Lot
II: Five sites located in Arsi Zone
1. Bidders
with license valid for the current year and got registered with the
concerned government offices for tax obligations and work permit
purposes shall obtain a complete set of bidding documents or Terms
of Reference (TOR) from our branch office in Addis Ababa against
payment of a non-returnable fee of Birr 200.
2. Duplicate
copies of bid offer and qualification information (both originals
+copies) shall be produced in different wax-sealed envelopes labeled
original and copy (also as Lot I or Lot II or both Lots) and must be
placed in the bid box along with a bid bond in the form of certified
check draft or in any other acceptable form of amounting to 1% of
the bid offer on or before July 28, 2006 at 12:00 A.M.

Bidders should submit their offer either for one or both
lots. But ABRDP/PCO has the right to give either only one lot or
both the Lots to one winner and may not be obliged to give both lots
to one bidder.
4. Bidders
must meet the minimum qualification criteria for their bidders or
bid offer to be opened.
5. Qualification
information will be opened at the presence of the bidders or their
represeatnvies on July 28, 2006 at 2:30 P.M. in our branch office in
Addis Ababa.
6. Bid
offer of the qualified bidders will be opened on the date and time
to be disclosed later on the invitation letter we wills send to the
qualified bidders to attend the bid offer opening. Note that under
no circumstances the bid offer opening will exceed ten days after
the opening date of the qualification statements.
7. The
bidders should be able to provide evidences for having performed
similar works.
8. Aggregate
merit points obtained in qualification information and bid offer
will be determine the winner.
9. ABRDP
reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
