1. The
Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research-Agricultural Research
and Training Project (EIAR-ARTP) invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the supply and delivery of the following Household
Equipment. Bidders must give technically responsive bid for 100% of
the quantities for each item.
Bidders who have not quoted 100%
technically responsive items in the lot and quantities for each item
will be considered as incomplete and rejected as non-responsive.

2. Bidding
will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from the project
coordination office of ARTP and inspect the bidding documents at the
address given below from 09:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.
-5:00 P.M. (local time) during working days, Monday to Friday.
4.
A complete set of bidding document in English may be
purchased by interested bidders as of July 17, 2006
(Monday-Friday: 9:00 A.M. -12:00 noon and 2:00 -5:00 P.M. on the
submission of a written application, renewed license and VAT
registration certificate to the address below and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 200 (Two Hundred). The method of payment
will be cash or cashier’s Check.
5. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before 9:30 A.M.
on August 23, 2006. All bids must be accompanied by a bid
security Birr 7,000 or in an equivalent amount in a freely
convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be
opened in the presence of the bidder’s representatives who choose to
attend at the address below at 10:00 A.M. on August 23,
2006.
