1. The
Road Fund Administration has funds within the Employer’s budget to
be used for the procurement of a Contractor of Bure, Negele, Gida
Ayana & Mojo Sections Routine Term Maintenance Road Projects.
2. The
Ethiopian Road Authority invites sealed bids from eligible bides for
Bure, Negele, Gida Ayana & Mojo Sections Routine Term Maintenance of
Roads. The project includes Recurring maintenance of both Asphalt &
Gravel Roads of about 267Km, 379Km, 197Km, and 353 Km, respectively.
The contract duration of the work is two years with a possible
extension of two years based on the performance of the contractor.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open National Tendering
procedures contained in the Public Procumbent Proclamation of the
Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all eligible bidders
which fulfill the following requirements:-
a)
In the case of Ethiopian Bidders only, its certificate of
registration from relevant bodies with category GC-IV or RC-IV or
above.
b)
In the case of Bidders other than Ethiopian, any relevant
professional practice certificate.
c)
Others appropriate documentary evidence demonstrating the
bidder’s compliance, which shall include:-
i)
its valid trading license and suppliers registration
certificate; and
ii)
Its tax clearance certificate and VAT registration
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian Roads
Authority and inspect the bidding documents at the address given
below at 7 (a) from 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. and 1:30 P.M. to 5:30
P.M. from Monday to Thursday and 8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. and 1:30
P.M. to 5:30 P.M. on Fridays local time starting from July 20, 2006.
The Ethiopian Roads Authority will hold a pre-bid meeting on August
4, 2006 at 9:30 A.M.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be
purchased by interested bidders at the address below at 7(b) and
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 150 ETB for each project.
The method of payment will be direct deposit to ERA’s account NBE
0160101011500 or direct payment of ERA cashier. The document shall
be collected from the address below at 7 (a) starting from July 20,
2006.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) at or before August
22, 2206 at 2:30 P.M. and bids must be accompanied by a bid security
of 50,000 ETB. Late bids shall be rejected. Bid will be opened in
the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend at
the address below at 7(d) on August 22, 2006 at 2:30 P.M.
