The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development of the
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia ha received a loan from the
Africa Development Fund towards the cost of Kogo Irrigation and
Water shed Management Project and intends to apply part of the fund
to cover eligible payments under the contract for the construction
of Koga Small Scale Irrigation, Rural Water Supply and
Sanitation.
2.
The Ministry of Water Resources of the Federal Democratic
Republic of Ethiopia invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for
the construction of Koga mall Scale Irrigation, Rural Water Supply
and Sanitation, all located in the Koga Sub Catchments. The Work
includes the construction of:
3 Nr. Small diversion weirs with
steel regulation sliding gates;
A total of 7.8 km secondary canals
of capacity in the order of 20 1/sec to 170 1/sec;
Small hydraulic structures (check
drops, division boxes, cross drainage culvert, drain drops and
outlets) total 464 Nr.;
50 Nr. Water point of dug wells;
19 Nr. Ventilated improved pit
latrines.

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased from the
above office and upon the payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 500
(Five Hundred Fifty).
4. Bids
shall be valid for a period of 120 days after bid opening and must
be accompanied by security of Birr 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand
Birr), and shall be delivered to the above office on or before 12:00
mid day of Aug. 30, 2006.
5. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their legal
representatives who wish to attend at the Ministry’s hall at 2:00
P.M. on Aug. 30, 2006.
6. This
invitation to bid is open to all bidders of category GC class 4 and
above regularly registered with the Ministry of Water Resources and
with renewable license for the year under bid.
7. The
Ministry of Water Resources reserves the right to accept or reject
any bid, and annual the bidding process.
