1. The
Addis Ababa City Government Fire and Emergency Service, invites
sealed bids from interested eligible bidders for the supply of heavy
duty fire fighting Trucks and two way Radio communication equipment.
2.
The Bid Documents
shall be obtained from AAWSA Materials Management Department, Room
No. 227, against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 100 per set
of documents during office hours upon presentation of Registration
certificate form the Federal Ministry of Finance and Economic
Development, renewed trade license for the current year and VAT
registration certificate.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office
AAWSA’S Materials Management department, Room No. 227, P.O. Box
1550, Addis Abba, Ethiopia, Tel. 011 662 18/011 651 72 36, Fax
(251-11)662 39 24.
4.
All bids must be
accompanied by a bid bond of Birr 10,000 in the form of Bank
Guarantee or Cahier’s Payment Order (C.P.O.) or Cash. Bid Bond in
any other form shall not be acceptable.
5.
Bids shall be
submitted in two separate envelopes:- 1. Technical envelope 2.
Financial envelope each having one original and one copy.
6.
All eligibility
certificate cited in item No. 2 (registration certificate form the
Federal Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, renewed trade
license for the current year and VAT registration certificate)
should be found in the original technical envelope, and the place in
the tender box on or before the final bid submission date.
7. Bid
bond should be in separate envelope and be placed in the tender box
together with the original technical envelope.
8. All
bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose
on or before 5:00 P.M. local time on 30 June 2006.
9. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official
representatives who wish to attend, on 03 July 2006 at 10:00 A.M.
local time.
10. Addis
Ababa City Government Fire and Emergency Service reserves the right
to accept or eject any or all bids.
Failure to comply with any of the
conditions from (4) to (8) mentioned above will result in automatic
rejection.
11. Bidders
who are not the manufacture of the goods supplies must provide
manufacture’s authorization valid for 2005/2006.
12.
The purchaser reserves
the right to reject any or all the bids.
