1.
The Federal Government
of Ethiopia has allocated budget to wards the cost of the Universal
Electricity Access Program for increasing people’s access to
electricity in rural towns and villages.
2.
The Ethiopian Electric
Power Corporation (EEPCO) now invites all interested and eligible
bidders for the following contracts:-
Lot-1- Design, manufacturing, test
and supply 50,000 concrete poles to region store at Dire Dawa for
the Construction of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Net-work.
Lot-2- Design, manufacturing, test
and supply 75,000 concrete poles to region store at Shashemene for
the Construction of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Net-work.
Lot-3- Design, manufacturing, test
and supply 75,000 concrete poles to region store at Gilgel Gibe for
the Construction of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Net-work
Lot-4- Design, manufacturing, test
and supply 75,000 concrete poles to region store at Debre Tabor for
the Construction of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Net-work.
Lot-5- Design, manufacturing, test
and supply 75,000 concrete poles to region store at Kombolcha for
the Construction of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Net-work
Lot-6- Design, manufacturing, test
and supply 35,000 concrete poles to region store at Mekelle for the
Construction of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Net-work.
Lot-7- Design, manufacturing, test
and supply 30,000 concrete poles to region store at Addis Ababa for
the Construction of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Net-work.
Lot-8- Design, manufacturing, test
and supply 50,000 concrete poles to region store at Nekemt for the
Construction of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Net-work.
3. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures of the preacher’s country.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
bidding documents at the office of:

5. The
bid document shall be available starting from June 12, 2006
onwards against payment of non-refundable fee of ETH. Birr 500.00
for each Lot in the above address.
6. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ETB
100,000.00, and must be delivered to the address above at or
before 11:30 hours local time (11:30 A.M.) on July 28, 2006.
7. Bids
will be opened on July 28, 2006, 15:00 hours local time (3:00
P.M.) in the presence of the bidders or their represeatnvies at
EEPCO Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
8. A
bidder can participate in one or all lots.
9. The
Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation reserves the right to reject
all or part of this bid.
