The Ethiopian Electric Power
Corporation, (EEPCo)
(hereinafter referred to as the Corporation) issues this notice of
invitation to bid:
For design, manufacture, test and delivery to the warehouse in
Gondar including sea and inland transportation, port clearances and
insurance from warehouse to warehouse of transmission line materials
for:
1. About
137.2 km of a single circuit 230 kV, 3-phase, twin AAAC “ASH”
conductor, single optical fiber cable shield wire on self
supporting, tapered configuration, vertical formation galvanized
steel lattice towers with each leg having a separate footings of pad
and chimney concrete type, from existing Bahir Dar II substation to
Gondar (Azezo) existing substation;
2.
About 122 km of single
circuit 230kV, 3 phase twin AAAC “ASH” conductor and fittings.
3.
About 36.5 km of a
double circuit 230 kV, 3-phase, twin ACSR “LJG” conductor, single
optical fiber cable shield wire on self supporting, tapered
configuration, vertical formation galvanized steel lattice towers
with each leg having a separate footings of pad and chimney concrete
type, from existing Shehedi substation to the Ethio-Sudanese border
(Metema).
The project is financed by EEPCo.
Eligible companies are invited for Bahir Dar- Gonder –Shehedi
Metema 230 kV power Transmission Project, Contract BGSM-2 “Supply of
230 kV transmission Line Materials”
Only Bidders who have designed, manufactured and supplied
transmission line materials at 230 kV voltage level or above will
considered qualified.
The bid documents can be collected against a non-refundable payment
of Ethiopian Birr 1,000 (One Thousand Ethiopian Birr)

Bid documents will be available starting from June 19, 2006
at or after 2:00 hours local time (8:00 A.M.)
Offers must be delivered to the address given above by August 4,
2006 at or before 6:00 hours local time (12:00 A.M.). Late bids
will be rejected.
Offers will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who
choose to attend on August 4, 2006 at 9:00 hours local time
(3:00 P.M.) at the EEPCo Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa.
The Corporation reserves the right to reject any or of the offers.
