1. This
Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this
Project that appeared in Development Business, issue on 22 November
2004.
2. The
Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has
received a credit/grant from International Development Association
(IDA) toward the cost of Water Supply and Sanitation Project, and it
intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit/grant to
payments under the Contract for the Procurement of Vehicles (Pick
up).
3. The
Ministry of Water Resources not invites sealed bids from eligible
and qualified bidders for the procurement of 25 units of Pick up
D/CAB 4WD vehicles.
4. Bidders
should offer for 100% of the quantities.
5. Bidding
will be conducted through the International Competitive bidding (ICB)
procedure specified in the World Bank Guidelines: Procurement under
IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible
Source Countries as defied in the Guidelines.
6. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
bidding documents at the address given below form 8:30 A.M. to 5:30
P.M. Monday to Friday.
7. A
complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the
address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of ETB 100 or
USD 12. The method of payment will be in cash or CPO. The bidding
documents will be sent by courier services for overseas bidder if it
is accompanied with prepared bill for the service.
8. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before August 02, 2006
at 2:00 P.M. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids
will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the
bidders/represeatnvies who choose to attend in person at the address
below on August 02, 2006 at 2:15 P.M. All bids must be accompanied
by a bid security not less than 2% of the bid price or an equivalent
amount in a freely convertible currency.
